Why there's only one pass

Most website work happens in rounds. Someone builds something, you look at it, you ask for changes, and that goes back and forth until it's right.

A one-pass build skips the rounds. The AI reads the brief you've written and builds the finished site directly from it, with no draft stage and no approval step in between.

What that means for the brief

Because there's no revision round, the site you get is built from what the brief says, once. If something in the brief is left vague, the AI still makes a decision and builds to it, so the brief is doing the job that a back-and-forth would usually do.

That's also why the process holds to a single price. One pass of work is what makes that possible.

The sequence

Four steps, in order

This is the order things actually happen in, and only the first two need anything from you.

  1. You write the brief

You describe the site you want in the chat: what it's for, what pages it needs, what it should say. The brief is the only thing the AI has to work from, so what you put in it is what comes out the other end.

  2. You choose your address

You pick the address your site will live at, as part of scrappywebsites.com. This is where anyone who visits will find it.

  3. You pay $99

The price is $99, plus tax where it applies. You pay before the build starts.

  4. The AI builds the site

The AI builds the site once, from the brief you gave it. There's no draft to look at first and no approval step to go through, so it doesn't come back to you with questions or options along the way.

You don't need to be present for this part.

What you're left with

When the build finishes, the site is live at the address you chose. Anyone who types that address in gets a working, multi-page site.

The files are yours

The site isn't something you rent for as long as you stay. The files belong to you, so you can move them to another host, hand them to a developer, or open them up and edit them yourself if you're able to. What you own doesn't depend on staying with the hosting past the first year.

You know how it works. Here's where you start.

The build works from what you put into it, so a clear brief gives you a site closer to what you had in mind.
